What We Do
As three local churches and with other Christians committed to serving those living in the CB5 postcode we want to support them in the following particular ways: -
Community Cleanups
Partnering with the City Council to help local residents get rid of large bulky items at various clean-up days that take place each year on multiple estates in the area.
Practical Support
Offering to gather a team of willing volunteers to help locals with health limitations or needing support, with a range of tasks, including gardening and decorating jobs, depending on their specific needs.
Serving the Community
Whether at the Big Lunch that takes place each year or litter picking the streets we are willing to serve and give a helping hand to the local community.
How can we help?
Regarding practical support, where applicable, we will get a referral. The referral will come to us via various local organisations, charities or health workers. Once we receive the referral one of our team will contact the individual to arrange for an assessment to take place.
We’ll aim to help as soon as we can based on the availability of our teams of volunteers. Generally speaking we aim to do gardening in spring and summer and decorating in autumn and winter. We may not always be the people to deliver and support people though, and so we may point people in the direction of more specialised support where helpful/applicable.
